The Contact Lense Solution Rip Off

125 million people use contact lenses worldwide. Many consider their appearance to be more attractive with contact lenses than with glasses. Contact lenses are less affected by wet weather, do not steam up, and provide a wider field of vision. They are more suitable for a number of sporting activities.

What a market to rip off from.

Hmm. The problem with your flawed theory and “beat the system” method is the ingredients and their concentrations. Just b/c you think rewetting drops and saline are the same doesn’t mean that they actually ARE the same. This is where a little knowledge (like reading the package insert) can be dangerous. Bread and pasta have the “same” ingredients, too…but I think most people would agree they are not the same. Heck bread and BEER have most of the same ingredients.

You’re making some really bad assumptions and a huge leap of “logic” that saline and rewetting drops are buffered the same way (which they are not), contain the same preservatives (which they do not), and have the same ingredients (they may…) in the same concentrations (they definitely do not) and the same viscosity (they do not).

It certainly won’t hurt you to use saline as “rewetting drops”, but they are not the same as each other, so don’t expect for the performance to be the same either.
