Vinegar is a liquid produced from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid. Ninety percent of American Households buy vinegar. The 4 major vinegar uses are for salads, as cooking ingredients, pickling and home canning.
Anyways, I just thought that everyone should know about the usefulness of vinegar other than for the 4 things mentioned above. I’ve put together 75 other things with pictures about everything else that you can do with it. I’d personally suggest using high quality white or organic apple cider vinegar like Heinz’s when trying the below methods. I’d recommend using organic ACV for drinking and topical applications, and white vinegar for the rest. The difference is that white vinegar is made from acetous fermentation of alcohol and apple cider vinegar is made from cider or apple must.
For ingestion or applying externally on your body, get the organic one with the ‘mother’. It’s unpasteurized and contains all the good bacteria your body needs. The BRAGG bottle below is an example.
Some of odyb.net blog readers’ reported successes :

Vinegar Uses For Machines & Appliances
Fill the water tank with white vinegar. Turn the iron to the steam setting and steam-iron a soft utility rag to clean the steam ports. Repeat the process with water, then thoroughly rinse out the inside of your iron.
Once a month fill the reservoir with white vinegar and run through the brew cycle. Rinse thoroughly with two cycles of cold water.
Once a month pour one cup of white vinegar into the washing machine and run the machine through a normal cycle, without clothes.
Soak the rusted tool, bolt, or spigot in undiluted white vinegar overnight.
Mix one cup of vinegar in enough water to fill an ice cube tray, freeze the mixture, grind the cubes through the disposal, and flush with cold water.
Vinegar Uses For The Kitchen
Fill the cup with vinegar overnight, then rinse with hot soapy water.
Place a cup of white vinegar on the bottom rack of the dishwasher, run for five minutes, then run though the full cycle. A cup of white vinegar run through the entire cycle once a month will also reduce soap scum on the inner workings.
Boil one tablespoon of white vinegar with one cup of water.
Rinse peanut butter and mayonnaise jars with white vinegar.
Soak a chicken bone in a glass of vinegar for three days. It will bend like rubber.
Soak a paper napkin in vinegar and leave it inside the closed lunch box overnight.
Marinating meat in vinegar kills bacteria and tenderizes the meat. Use one-quarter cup for a two to three pound roast, marinate overnight, then cook without draining or rinsing the meat. Add herbs to the solution when marinating as desired.
Cheese will last longer if you store it in a vinegar soaked cloth.
Add two tablespoons of white vinegar per quart of water before boiling to prevent the eggs from cracking. The egg shells will also peel off faster and easier.
Fill the pots and pans with white vinegar and let stand for thirty minutes. Then rinse in hot, soapy water.
Fill a small bowl with equal parts hot water, place it in the microwave and set the power to high for 5 minutes. The steam built up inside makes it easier to clean.
Freeze it out and scrape off as much as you can first. Then saturate the area that has the gum on it with vinegar. The rest of the gum will actually dissolve. If the vinegar is heated first the process will work faster.
Vinegar Uses For Diseases And Infections
Dot the irritation with vinegar to relieve itching.
Put two teaspoons of vinegar in your humidifier. Check out these other natural remedies for recovering from a sore throat.
Apply undiluted vinegar to the burn.
Drink two teaspoons apple cider vinegar in one cup water to soothe an upset stomach.
Use a cotton ball to dab mosquito and other bug bites with vinegar straight from the bottle.
Dissolves whatever glue the little buggers use to lay eggs on the hair shaft. Comb your hair and rinse it with equal parts water and vinegar.
Dip a cotton bud into pure vinegar and dab onto affected areas.
2 tablespoons in a full glass of water, sipped, usually first thing in the morning and 1 tablespoon before meals to control acid reflux/hiatal hernia.
Dab directly onto the affected areas.
Mix one part apple cider vinegar to one part glycerin into a lotion and apply daily to warts until they dissolve.
Make a poultice of one crumbled piece of bread soaked in one-quarter cup vinegar. Let poultice sit for one-half hour, then apply to the corn and tape in place overnight. If corn does not peel off by morning, reapply the poultice for several consecutive nights.
Mix one-quarter cup apple cider vinegar with one-quarter cup honey. Take one tablespoon six to eight times daily.
Before each meal, drink a glass of water containing two teaspoons apple cider vinegar. Give this folk remedy at least three weeks to start working.
Mix one-half cup apple cider vinegar, one-half cup water, one teaspoon cayenne pepper, and four teaspoons honey. Take one tablespoon when cough acts up. Take another tablespoon at bedtime.
Simply pour a few tablespoons of vinegar on your hair and massage into your scalp. Wait a few minutes, then rinse and wash hair like normal. Try this for a few days until you see results. It restores chemical balance to the skin.
Remedy for acne skin conditions when diluted 50:50 with water and used as a toner. Careful around the eyes.
Vinegar Uses For Maintaining Health
If you can take it, put a cotton bud or cotton square with appe cider vinegar and dab all over your face. It’s safer and so much cheaper than any store-bought ‘alpha hydroxy’ products.
When you eat something too spicy hot (habenero, jalepeno, wasabi) you can quickly get rid of the burn by dabbing your tounge with vinegar.
Use vinegar when soap won’t knock down the body odor in your arm pits. And any other area you feel requires attention.
Add one-half cup of vinegar or so to warm bath water when bathing and get double benefits; softer skin and a cleaner bathtub with less work. Smooth a little on cracked, dried skin to help it heal.
Soak dentures overnight in vinegar, then brush away tartar with a toothbrush.
If you soak the affected area (hopefully a finger!) in white vinegar, it should rise sufficiently out the skin’s surface for you to pull it out with tweezers. But, you need to soak for at least 30 minutes
One thing that science has shown is that apple cider vinegar might help to balance blood sugar. Insulin responses have been shown to create excess belly fat. Therefore, if insulin and blood sugar are controlled, a person might lose weight. Fat might in fact be as much a matter of hormones (insulin) than lack of activity. Of course, more than likely they go hand in hand.
Mix one teaspoon apple cider vinegar in one cup of warm water, and drink.
Apple cider vinegar is a natural remedy for yeast infections, when diluted with water and used as a douche. For example, douche with one tablespoon ACV to one quart warm water to adjust the pH balance in the vajayjay.
Shampoo, then rinse hair with a mixture of one cup apple cider vinegar and two cups water. ACV adds highlights to brunette hair, restores the acid mantel, and removes soap film and sebum oil.
Wipe each lens with a drop of vinegar.
Vinegar Uses For Fabric
Add one tablespoon of vinegar to the rinse water when washing, and your pantyhose will last longer.
Add one cup vinegar to each wash load.
Wash sweater, then rinse in equal parts vinegar and water to remove odor.
Apply one part white vinegar to four parts water, then rinse.
Before putting the article in the washing machine, soak it in white vinegar for ten minutes.
Apply white vinegar directly to the stain, then wash as directed by the manufacturer’s instructions.

Erm, this post is just awesome, never before I knew vinegar could be of help in so many areas in our daily life, anyway thanks for the information. Informative post you have!!
I’ve been sick like a dog and I just tried the remedy for upset stomachs and now I’m cured!! Thank you so much!
you’re welcome.
=)
we use vinegar for all sorts of things. works on athlete’s foot (much cheaper too!). i got rid of my dandruff problem, and now i continue to use it as a conditioner. my hair is darker and softer and i don’t need any other conditioner. we use it in the washing machine and to wash the dishes (along with baking soda, works great).
I drink apple cider vinegar (1-2 T in a full glass of water, sipped, usually first thing in the morning and sometimes with or before other meals) to control acid reflux/hiatal hernia, which I suffered from constantly for well over a year before giving up on the prescribed medications and going natural. Since then I’ve only had a couple of very slight re-occurrences of the reflux problem. After a year of drinking it every morning without fail, I’ve since stopped drinking it every day, but still make sure I have a glass or two at least a couple of times a week, and I also eat a lot of salads and use it in my homemade salad dressings. It must be apple cider vinegar, though, for this purpose, not white, wine or any other kind of vinegar.
Another successful use is to get rid of persistent toenail fungus that darkens and crumbles the toenail. Put plain white vinegar in an old eye-dropper bottle and put a drop of vinegar on your infected toenail 2 or 3 times a day until the affected part of the nail grows out. I usually just remembered to do it first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. The vinegar seems to stop the fungus from spreading into the new growth of the nail and as you trim your toenail, it will disappear and not come back as long as you use the vinegar conscientiously during the growth process.
That’s great news. I have acid reflux, but all the medications are frightening with all their side-effects. And my husband has had some toe nail fungus problems. I’ll make sure to print this out so that it can be taken care of.
Thanks!
im going to try this for my Barretts disease, i lay down to sleep and always have the burning reflux, im on med for it, but limited results. ill try the vinigar in my tea. thank you
My sister-in-law swears that 1 part vinegar, 1 part water, and one part original blue Dawn dishwash liquid will remove any stain from clothes including old ones.
Great article. Thanks!
could have done without that yeast infection picture.. wtf were they thinking when they posted that? excuse me while i go dry heave and puke up stomach bile…
This is cool. I could use many of these around the house.
EAR INFECTIONS:
Domoboro solution is nothing less than plain vinegar – and is a first line defense – many ear infections are fungal related.
KIDNEYS:
Vinegar is a good flush for kidneys – if you have kidney stones, and for many other serious kidney problems, vinegar in the diet definitely helps…
Since KIDNEY FUNCTION is linked and treated in eastern modalities with LUNG FUNCTION – if you are suffering from lung issues, your kidneys need help too, so do them both a favor.
If treating infections, definitely take vinegar internally too, as an infection is your body’s way of telling you your system is out of balance and can’t fight the bacteria/fungus/virus – so the cure is to bolster your system. Often with highly processed food our bodies are constantly challenged. Drink up!
Of course, we must insert the usual see your corporate doctor clause god forbid we can take charge or our own health without the pharma police on our doorsteps)
I just have two questions. 1st In the above comment, are you referring to White Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar? 2nd what would the Ratio of Vinegar to Water be for the Kidneys? Both Myself & My Husband could benefit from Drinking this Daily.
White vinegar is also really good for cleaning and deodorizing cages and litter pans for small animals. I work for a rabbit rescue, and we use it all the time! Thanks for the great tips.
Loved this post! Thanks!
I agree, thank you so much for this post. And thank you for pictures for illustrations. ACV had no part of my daily life until I came across this post last week. Out of curiosity to find out the benefits of putting vinegar in your bath, I came across this post. I started consuming ACV solely because of the weight loss idea. I never even knew I had acid reflux. In the past, I simply thought that’s just the way my body behaves, believing everyone’s bodies are different and this is just how mine behaves. After drinking one cup of water with two teaspoons of ACV for the past 2 days, I’ve been able to consume my meals without the sympons of acid reflux. Furthermore, the skin on my lips feel naturally moist, when in the past, every single day I would frequently use vaseline for my lips because they would feel dry without it. Also, my breath doesn’t smell at all. I wake up and have zero morning breath. It might have been the combination of the ACV & that first night I brushed my teeth and tongue with pure baking soda. Anyway, it’s been 3 days and I only brushed my teeth with baking soda that 1st night and 1 cup of water with 2 teaspoons of ACV for 3 days and I wake up every day with zero morning breath the past 3 days. I even ate lasagna with garlic and onions in it and my breath still smelled normal. Furthermore, there are negative things my body used to feel that I no longer feel. Like when I used to burp, my chest would hurt. Now when I burp, it feels normal and there’s no pain what’s so ever. I will continue to drink 1 cup of water each day with 2 teaspoons of ACV and see if the weight loss thing works, or if more positive results will occur. In the meantime, I’m so happy with the results so far that I’m now sold for life on implementing ACV in my diet every day. I just can’t believe the results I’m experiencing. I feel like this is a dream or something.
Hey Eva.
Great to hear about the good things happening in your life at the moment.
However, I need to caution you about brushing your teeth with baking soda.
You can do many things with baking soda but using it as a toothpaste is not recommended.
Here’s why.
We use vinegar in masonry and tile work. cleaning grout haze, or cleaning bricks of excess mortar is much easier with vinegar mixed in water than water alone. if you wait too long, vinegar won’t be strong enough, and you’ll have to go to something stronger like muriatic acid.
You can also put a cup of vinegar in the microwave for 15 seconds (Longer if needed) and all your food that’s caked on will wipe right off.
Pet Shampoo
Thanks for the tips! And I thought I knew everything about vinegar…!
I use an equal part apple cider vinegar/water mixture to wash my dog/ freshen up his coat. It is all natural and non toxic so no need to rinse! This is also a good choice for dogs with sensitive skin.
This will also repel fleas. They hate vinegar.
Ooh, lovely tips!
But I am compelled to mention this, I once had a painting instructor who emphatically warned his students day after day against using hot water when washing or rinsing paintbrushes. Hot water can dissolve the wax-based adhesives holding the fibers to the ferrule, expand the ferrule itself and allowing the bristles to come loose (or causing the brush handle to wobble or detach) and in the case of natural fiber brushes, hot water can strip natural oils from the bristles, making them weaker with time.
I use it to mop wooden/tiled floors. Works extremely well and is much cheaper then all those products you can buy.
do you mix equally for the dog bath ?
here All is Very Cool…………..
Just used it the other day to clean the grout around the tile in my kitchen/hall/bath.
…anyone tried it with salt on chips? (U.S. fries)
Yes – delicious — and velly British!
Awesome article, thanks!
A lot of these solutions work with any acidic liquid. Some might be vinegar only. I wish I knew.
Cleaning Wood Floors
A bit of white vinegar, dissolved in hot water is great for cleaning hard wood floors. Much better than any commercial cleaner I’ve ever used.
I’ve heard it can damage _new_ floor finishes, though, so you might want to test first. I’ve never had a problem with it.
A typical yank response Nick kelly.
Great uses, but next time no yeast infection picture.
I use vinegar when soap won’t knock down the body odor in my arm pits. I think that the bacteria that creates the BO has basic pH or something like that. I think it works.
Awesome, I loved it. 🙂
Gotta try some of those.
Very interesting uses for vinegar. I will surely try quite a few of these suggestions. Thank you for the posting
drink a bottle of vinegar b4 a drug test, u’ll pass
How do you no for sure this works?
Haha. Of course it doesn’t work.
Vinegar is also the secret of those cement-block-breaking martial artists. Soak your cement block to taste and let dry. Warning though do not try this at home, it will hurt when you punch or chop that block if you are not properly trained.
Also one cup white vinegar, lots of minced onion and garlic and chili peppers without the seeds and deep-fried pork cubes, season to taste some exotic soy sauce. The fat doesn’t stay in your body as the vinegar helps to flush it.
“#59 Keep drains open.
Pour one-half box of old baking soda down the drain followed by one cup white vinegar. When the bubbling stops, run the hot water.”
I see this tip all the time. What’s the point? By mixing the vinegar and baking soda you eliminate any possible chemical effect of the two ingredients separately and get a neutral chemical. You might as well pour salt in the drain. And I’ve never seen proof of the reasons given for doing this, such as it creates heat (I’ve never noticed this; why not just use hot water instead?) or the bubbling action helps clear the drain (no proof).
anna wrote, “Domoboro solution is nothing less than plain vinegar”
This is is flat wrong. Check the ingredients of Domeboro Otic – acetic acid (vinegar) and aluminum acetate. I admit I have no idea why that latter chemical is included.
I’ve heard a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water can be used to treat ear infections, but I’ve never tried it, so use at your own risk.
I use this solution every month
One thing not mentioned– it can help with lice, too. Dissolves whatever glue the little buggers use to lay eggs on the hair shaft. Combing my hair and rinsing it with vinegar was the only way I got rid of my case of lice three years ago.
Actually, it did say that vinegar helps with lice.
nick kelly for teh win!
aluminum acetate is an antiseptic.
and, really, the yeast infection photo… yeesh.
This might be a silly question. Does anyone know if there are differences in white vinegar types available in the market? What is a grain based vinegar? Are Heinz vinegars usally from a non-grain source of ethanol ( such as petroleum)?
Ethanol is not a petroleum product. It’s the alcohol found in alcoholic drinks. However, it can be mixed with petroleum products and used as a cleaner fuel than just gasoline alone.
This is a great article!
CATCH and KILL FRUIT FLIES
Fill a bowl or cup with vinegar. ad a splash of cranberry juice. Cover the bowl with saran wrap. poke whole is the saran with a fork.
The fruit flies will enter get caught and drown.
(BTW, we used cran-apple and it worked fine)
Very helpful hints! I have several new ones to try, thanks!
Studies are finding that 2 tablespoons of vinegar, taken in the morning, helps control blood glucose levels, an important finding in the treatment of diabetes: .
Great post!!! Thanks!!!
Sore Body after Hard Exercise:
Drink a shot of vinegar (like a shot of tequila) just after you finish exercising, it keeps your muscles without any lactic acid!!! I drink it with salt and lemon for flavor.
Use # 63 I Just used a white vinegar yesterday to strip the varnish off my old hardwood floors. I mixed it 50/50 with warm water and ran a mop over the floor several times getting it good and wet, Then I waited about a half hour and used a basic floor scraper and all the old glue from some tile floor that was installed over the hardwood came up easily including the varnish. I have tried using the hardwood floor striper that sells in the store for $10 to $20 a gallon (which is basically a gallon of superglue remover) with harmful vapors and it doesn’t even come close to how well vinegars work.
Um, you took photos from Flickr that did NOT have the Creative Commons tag, nor did you give credit to the photographers. There are many photos online that explicitly give permission to share with credit, and so your choice to simply grab whichever ones took your fancy is a sign of laziness and ignorance.
Are you serious? Get a life….photographer lol not really much I see on the pics listed to write home about:)
was it the yeast infection photo?
Hey one of the photographers – get over it. Everybody steals from everybody. The makers of this page are doing you a favor. You should take it as a compliment that they’re using your pictures. Shut up and shoot some vinegar.
To Prolong the life of berries, and prevent mold and fungus developing on them…
Fill a bowl with 1 cup vinegar and 3 cups water (or any 1-3 ratio you prefer). Wash berries in mixture. Move berries to colander. Rinse well. Transfer berries to a salad spinner lines with 3 paper towels. Spin and store berries in a Tupperware lines with paper towels. Leave 1 corner of the container open for air.

Whats the use of rubbery chicken bones?
hey, “one of the photographers” is right.
there is plenty of stuff available online that would be usable under the creative commons license. it’s not cool to take and use others’ works without their permission.
the writer of this blog is making money from ad revenue and would probably be mad if someone stole the content that he/she clearly spent a lot of time creating.
not cool, dude. not cool.
fuckoff idiot
A wonderful article…many thanks!
Take a 12 oz. glass of water, and put 20 sprays of ACV in it, drink 1st thing every day. I’m 75, in perfect health and am convinced you will be too if you let Apple Cider Vinegar work for you!
There’s no excuse for not crediting photos. Just do it.
stop whining wanker
good for swimmers ear too,mix 1 part vinegar to 1 part rubbing alcohol and put several drops in ear the alcohol dries the ear and the vinegar balances the acidity in the ear, learned this from a Doctor in the E.R.a few years back when i took my daughter in for what i thought was an ear infection
Great article, never knew vinegar could do so much… I like the way an image is displayed for each use. Good job again. !
Thanks
Josh

i realy need somethin for acne if you know somethin that realy works please help me… thank you!
Cetaphil antibacterial soap. Wal-mart and Walgreens have it.
Good, useful article.
I see links to the photo sources. Seems good enough to me in terms of crediting the source for a blog. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know about the copyright aspects.
You forgot the most important one… it helps a lot with bad blood circulation.
@TH
Hey one of the photographers – get over it. Everybody steals from everybody.
Does that mean you do ?
@Miles
Whats the use of rubbery chicken bones?
Real rubbery chicken bones for your dog to play with ! .)
great info on this cite.. i knew most of them but new to a few of the uses i saw in the site.. can’t wait to try it out
great info and many uses i never thought of … more than i could remember
thanks for the info
According to John D. MacDonald, it will control infestations in body-hair….
27. Remedy for acne skin conditions when diluted 50:50 with water and used as a toner.
Anyone tried it before? Do I use white vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar in this method? And diluting 50:50 with water means that if I have a 100ml bottle, fill 50ml of it with vinegar and 50ml of it with water. Am I interpreting it correctly?
Herm : WHy don’t you check out what the folks over at Acne.org are saying. http://www.acne.org/vinegar-reviews/30/page1.html
Thank you Chris for providing the link which proved helpful and thank you for this great article.
Thanks for this great article.
This is SO interesting! i never knew that vinegar could be used in so many ways!!!! this is REALLY cool……i am definately going to try the weight loss tip and the acne remedy and tell my mom about the other useful ones!!!! Thanks SO much for posting this!
Interested in knowing how much to drink for weight loss……..have been reading and it does say its used for weight loss but not how much to use? If you know please email me.
Thanks
Lol wut. Vinegar does not remove fat from the body.
Eating fewer calories than your body burns is the ONLY thing that removes fat from the body.
And next time you decide to run a picture of a yeast infection, have the common decency to give a NSFW warning. good grief.
Oh wait, you’re a photo thief. There goes what little credibility you had.
absolutely marvellous!!!!
thanks for sharing it
wow so many uses thanks Chris
Many valuable tips. I would like to see a list including before and after pics that you test. Water spots…gone, acne…disappeared, yeast… a thing of the past. Then I knnow it’s the real deal.
Extremely helpful info. I must use vinegar more often. I will pass this on !
SHEESH! DID i HAVE TO SEE THAT? EWWW…
Vinegar is helpful in early detection of cervical cancer… Instead of injecting girls with all kinds of fabulous chemicals, maybe a nice vinegar wash will do the trick – if it works in the third world, why not in America?
http://www.azstarnet.com/news/194696
loved everything you use vinegar for cleaning. I have a new pet and I clean all the time. I am using it on my kitchen floor right now. It needs to dry and I will buy gallons of vinegar starting tomorrow thank you soooooo much
great post! i swear a go through a gallon of the stuff a week! i find it interesting that most Americans who suffer from reflux, GERD, or heartburn spend millions of dollars a year on antacids and perscription acid blocking medication when most people with this problem are producing TOO LITTLE stomach acid instead of TOO MUCH. This causes food in the stomach to begin to rot and ferment thus causing gas and regurgitation. So next time you find yourself reaching for the tums drink a little apple cider vinegar instead.
Another useful hint for vinegar,
when you eat something too spicy hot (habenero, jalepeno, wasabi) you can quickly get rid of the burn by dabbing your tounge with vinegar.
I love this site, I have tried a number of the ideas and thye really do work. Hey guys, when posting comments please ensure that your spelling is correct
EG: Tounge = tongue (Amanda).
Cheers
Fantastic lot of information but if it wasn’t already mentioned, you should never use everyday vinegar on the skin or hair – yep, you can consume it in small amounts in recipes etc but for application to the skins surface you need to use Apple Cider Vinegar.
Please, edit out the photo of the yeast infection or at least give us a warning. NASTY!
For cleaning drains, I’ve always heard 1 cup of salt, followed by 1 cup of baking soda, and then 1 quart of boiling water.
I agree that vinegar soda = neutral.
thanks for all the info….
LOL.. my friends tease me about being Ms. Vinegar because every time they have a problem my recommendation is to use vinegar… What can I say it… its great for everything!!
Calamity, you remind me of the father on My Big Fat Greek Wedding – except his “thing” was Windex.
Yeast infection – you can also use plain yogurt. I’m skeptical about the vinegar for yeast infections, however, simply because that would mean that douching would resolve a womans problem, and that’s not the case. I didn’t need the visual.
I use bleach in my garbage disposal to freshen it up. I would NEVER use bleach in my toilet tank, however, as it will corrode the metal and you will have visits from the plumber in the future (dad’s a plumber). Vinegar works great for getting rid of mineral deposits. I use for coffeemakers and my wachine machine..which is really old with lots of mineral deposits.. except I use 1 gallon of vinegar in a wash cycle – no clothing – and add 1 cup of baking soda.
I can vouch for the swimmers ear solution, but I use 1 part alcohol to two parts vinegar in a dropper bottle.
I will use in the future when I boil my eggs!
Use vicks vapor rub to get rid of athletes foot (I don’t know about the vinegar).
Nobody posted here for a while but I saw this and (said or not) I must say that white vinger not only helps sun burn but real burns. You like stick your hand in boiling water do this on while you wait for help. If its real bad soak it in viniger, it will sotp the pain, then sometimes it will start to burn again in vineger, take it out, then it not burn out of the vineger for a bit, soon it will end up burning again, put it right back in the viniger, then after a burns again pull it out. Repeat this till the pain stops. It doesn’t scar at all, it makes the difference between mutation (bad burns look bad) and nothing.
Great article thanks ….i never knew this stuff could do so much !!!
Aphelion–I can’t vouch for apple cider vinegar “burning fat” but I would like to point out that a lot of research shows that burning more calories than you can consume is not necessarily the only way to lose weight.
Also, for people thinking to ingest apple cider vinegar (which I do highly recommend for colds, sinuses, and yeast issues) get the organic with “mother”. Skip the heinz. It’s better than the alternative, but not as good as organic apple cider with “mother”. This is the unpastuerized version, which means it retains all the good bacteria your body needs. You won’t get sick from it, as e coli cannot grow in vinegar. They distill it so it looks pretty when you buy it (clear and white, as opposed to brown and murky).
Good luck all!
Barefoot
Great article, put together very well. (I have to agree on the yeast picture, though, that it could be replaced with something else. A separate link could be attached, if one must really see what it looks like.)
Another good source of information, the Vinegar Institute:

Vinegar is really fantastic! It’s what I use in my all natural cleaning business – no complaints!

How do I know which type of vinegar to use?
Vinegar helps me lower my blood pressure when it’s really high. I take 2 tablespoons of vinegar and within 20 minutes my blood pressure drops. It is a temporary drop but it helps! I’ve started taking it every day to see if it will help regulate my blood pressure.
I just sprayed undiluted white vinegar onto the grout in my shower and scrubbed, and the orange pre-mold (and some of the black mold) came right off! A quick spray of vinegar after each shower should help keep the shower mold-free from here on out…
Jenn
Very interesting,
I produce wine vinegar from fermented wild berries, flowers etc. in our farm in West Wales. No chemichals, hand picked.naturally processed.
I am the only one producing such a product so there is little knowledge about the properties of this specific vinegar
The berries I produce vinegar from grow wild in our farm and are mainly choosen for their healing properties.I produce about 15 different types at the moment and looking forward to some diffent ones. Just to mention same of my vinegar and their properies;
Blackberry good for gout,eczma
Elderflower good for chest complaints,as expectorant, rheumatism

Many have mentioned using apple cider vinegar but I’m allergic to apples. Any suggestions for us folks who can’t tolerate apples? Should we just use the white and add lemon flavor to it?
Thanks!
Allergic to Apple’s : Use white vinegar instead.
It is rare to find something that really in truly works with no “if ands or buts”
I have a candita yeast problem for years now it would grow in my eyebrows
and make them itch and be scaley unless you used this keokotazole cream.
After reading this site i took some apple cider vinegar put it on a cotton ball
and wiped all over my forehead, it nuked that yeast, it inflamed it so bad i had to wear a band aid, after 2 weeks it went away nd i have to say it is healed.
If you have yeast it will nuke it! My dermatologist said “THIS WILL BE YOUR FRIEND FOR LIFE” “THE YEAST THAT IS” MY hats off to ACV.. FYI you can put ACV
anywhere you suspect a skin condition, It only attacks or burns IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, it will not harm healthy tissue..
OH and Dont correct my spelling i am excited, and there are a lot of haters on here,
SO SAVE IT.
Great article! Can i use any vinegar for this or is there a particular make i should use ?
Actually, any vinegar make will do.
Right after reading this i’m going to get stocked up in vinegar pronto!
AWESOME article – why did no one tell me about this before ..haha. Thanks to who found this information out.
Here are a five more great uses for vinegar:
1. Sprinkle around a campsite once per night to keep bears away (or perhaps to attract them, I forget which)
2. Spray immediately on fresh scrapes. It will hurt like crazy, but you’ll look tough
3. Mix with equal parts milk, bacon grease, and elderberry wine. I have no idea why
4. Replace your little brother’s apple juice with straight Apple Cider Vinegar. Man, that’ll be funny!
and finally…
5. Use undilluted to wash out your eyes after looking at that yeast infection picture
I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard! You have a great sense of humor!
However, one should be very careful while drinking vinegar as it was suggested by some of you. It can be harmful for people with acid reflux/GERD. In general, can be harmful for your stomach otherwise it is a great cleaning remedy.
Snx for you job!
It has very much helped me!
Um, yeah thanks for the tips it really helps me with my senior project. For anyone who reads this most of these tips are confirmed in many websites plus I have tried about thirty of them and they work. but not the yeast infection one.

Check out 22 uses for toothpaste http://lifejelly.org/archives/14
Hey thanks for the tips gotta try them all , OH YEA THE YEAST INFECTION PIC NASTY!!!
Instead of buying expensive facial products, I mix up my own “toner” using 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar and a few aspirins. The acids in the vinegar force your old skin cells to flake off, much like the store-bought “alpha hydroxy” products.
Thanks so much for this site. I am currently drinking a mixture of 2 tsp acv, 2 tsp honey and 10 oz of warm water.
I have completed reading but was only able to consume 1/3 of the mixture. I am sure I will get used to the taste.
I have used BRAGGS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR and honey in hot water for about 25 years. I find it helps to avoid colds and flu. I mix 2 teaspoons vinegar and 1 teaspoon honey in half cup hot water, every morning. I really enjoy the taste. It is also good if you do have a sore throat, or cough. Try it, I think you’ll like it!
Hey, you forgot about this, it can clean of chewing gum stains very good.
Yup, thse stains are really a pain in the a$$.

Hope it helps 😉
Chris,
Fabulous article, can’t ait to use the tips. One comment –
anyways” -NOT a word!
Great tips. You can also use bleech instead of vinegar.

I had very serious ear iching that “there” medicine would not help relive. A ear doctor said to use white vinegar on a q-tip for a week. I did every night for a week and it’s been four years without any more problems
I’ve heard of some people making home-made “Automotive Windshield Washer Fluid” using 1:1 – distilled water, and white distilled vinegar.
BUT, someone “against” the recipe posted stating that Vinegar will eat away at the vehicle’s wax finish….
Anyone have any experience with this…? Considering, there are recipes/tips here, geared towards automobiles which mention The decal removal….several minutes in contact with the car could be a problem (if the deal with vinegar messing with the wax finish is real)….and well, I don’t have a problem with Icy windows here in florida, but foggy windows are more common in the morning 🙂
I might try that tonight and see how well it works though, if at all.
we use vinegar for all sorts of things. works on athlete
Why is everyone so bent out of shape from the yeast infection picture? Geez, it’s only a picture of a cervix (I think)…get over it. People are so touchy these days anymore…so silly! Great tips btw, I will put some more of these uses to work.
Lol, what’s with all these weak-stomached men, who can’t handle a picture of a yeast infection? It’s just part of the body. Yeast infections happen and are hardly the end of the world. Boys, you’ve probably even slept with a woman while she had one coming on! I know that may just blow your lunch (rolls eyes). Or is it that it’s part of the yucky vagiiiina? Either way, grow up, people…
You can scent your distilled white vinegar using 100% pure essential oils (not for ingesting or for putting directly on the skin though). This way you still get your family safe and environmentally friendly all-purpose vinegar without that awful smell. Just add 50-100 drops or 1/2-1 Teaspoon directly to the gallon. Use the least amount first so you can gauge how strong you want the scent to be. Also if you measure the oils do not use plastic or metal! The oils will eat away at the platic and the metal will change the chemical composition of the oils. I found small glass measuring cups at Walmart for about a dollar they look like shot glasses.
(ZTsMomma) Cool. It never come across my mind that you could add scent to distilled white vinegar. I’m still curious though. Won’t the vinegar eat the scent away? Yeah, I know about the plastic/metal thingy. I always use glass where possible.
Thanks for your input. Appreciate it!
Nope the essential oils pretty much overpower the vinegar for the most part. I mean the vinegar scent doesn’t comletely go away but it makes it a little more bearable. I think the citrusy scents work best. My favorite is lemon or lemongrass….they don’t smell like vinegar at all when I use them. The longest I have had a gallon around is a few months and they still smelled good. I am not sure though if you leave them for longer periods of time. I use my vinegar ALOT!!
(ZTsMomma) a few months sounds like a pretty long shelf life. I use vinegar a lot too! Daily. Will try out the scent thingy and see how it goes. Thanks again.
=)
Very interesting site. I have Keratosis Pilaris, do you think it might work?
I’ll try it tonight.
Thanks for all the info.
YES!! I mix it about 1:3 with water. Saturate a washcloth or paper towel with the mixture, hold it on your waxy spots for a couple minutes, then just wipe the stuff right off (might need to repeat if it’s a thick spot). I was actually kind of embarassed that I had that stuff on me for so long when it was so easy to remove. I also used it to clear up the “chicken skin” on the back of my thighs as well as removing my “turkey neck”. Rinse with water. Someone might have a better recipe, but that one worked for me. (you’ll probably need to use the vinegar to remove the funk from your washcloth afterwards)
(Ella) It will. In any case, let us know.
=)
Another use for vinegar is poaching eggs in water add 1 capful of wiite vinegar to the water. helps hold the eggs togeather.
(learningnewthings) That’s No.14 isn’t it?
ACV helps with PMS and with menstrual cramping and blood clots…it thins the blood! It also helps to prevent hangovers and upset stomach! It also helps with hunger! It also helps with blood pressure!
I have a rabbit and I clean everything of hers with one third vinegar two third water. Her toys, her litter box and the floor inside her pen and the pen.
I wash the cloths i use for her in hot water with vinegar/baking soda. Its safe for animals especially rabbits who are allergic to almost anything and everything. And it kills odors. Everyone that comes to my house say the same thing. Wow you have a rabbit and it doesnt smell nothing! I tell them to do the same with their dogs and cats.
(Monet) My girlfriend tried it but it doesn’t really help her much. Will be trying out blackstrap molasses next to see if it works.
(Mich) I didn’t know that rabbits were allergic animals. Do you just use the vinegar/water mixture to clean the cages or do you use soap as well?
Hi,
I have 2 kids, one is 22 months old and another new born. They have serious dry skin issues. My 22 month old scratches her legs and hands a lot. Do you think if I put a little white vinegar in her bath water will it help ?
Should I use White Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar ?
Thanks,
Luvvy
(Luvvy) You should use ORGANIC apple cider vinegar.
BRILLIANT – THANKS FOR THE INFO GUYS – HAVE PRINTED ALL THIS OFF FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
So many uses of vinegar. This is an excellent post. I guess I would have never know about them.
This may sound like a silly question …. BUT, given that Vinegar is a liquid produced from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid – does this effectively mean that vinegar is alcohol FREE ?
[email protected]
(jonathan Bradford) To make apple cider vinegar, you start with apple juice.
Yeast is added to the juice, which transforms the sugars in the juice to alcohol. During this time, care is taken to ensure that no oxygen is able to get to the “must”.If it is allowed to completely ferment, nearly all (but unlikely completely all) off the sugarsa will be gone from the juice. At this point you have “Hard” cider (or just cider if you live outside the USA).
At this point, the airlocks are removed and a bacteria is introduced (or allowed to self-introduce) to the cider. This bacteria turns the alcohol into acedic acid- which is the stuff that gives vinegar its strong taste and smell.
It is unlikely that there would be a complete transformation of all the alcohol, so yes there is most likely alcohol in the vinegar.
However, it is in amounts so small as to be nearly impossible to detect.

I use white vinegar for cat spray. It totally removes the smell from anything and if a cat sprays on clothes, blankets, duffle bags just was them with vinegar and the smell goes. We also use White vinegar, olive oil and lemon juice and water it helps maintain your kidneys and liver and you feel more energetic and your skin starts to look smother.
My wife use 1 part vinegar, 1 part water, and one part original blue Dawn dishwash liquid. It will remove any stain from clothes including old ones.
Hey Dave, how is it going with your blood pressure.
Did you have any success, getting it down with vinegar
A vinegar and salt solution will clean tarnish from copper. This works great on copper coated pots and pans. Just spray on some vingar and sprinkle with salt.
I had asked a question, a couple of weeks back. But there’s no answer and my post has been removed. Its a shame.
However, its a good post.
This is wonderfull. I looking for something like this.My wife use 1 part vinegar, 1 part water and stains all gone.
(Prodaja) Glad you and your wife found it useful. 😉
i use white vinegar to clean my gold jewelry and diamond ring
they just gleam soak then rinse
Back in the mid 60’s and even today some mothers and grandmothers use vinegar to assist in teaching naughty youths, teens and even adults who need lessions.
1. Mouth washing for naughty mouths, works better then soap and safer.
2. Used after spanking, or after using a switch, cane or brissel brush. should be poured on directly after the punishment, for proper effects.
Other helpful uses can be used in leather shoes, boot’s and heels a table spoon full ov vinegar, will keep your foot wear, socks and nylon clad feet smelling beautiful and sexy.
Putting a tablespoon worth of vinegar in your shoes does make sense but it doesn’t really sound right. What it does is just add to the bacteria that’s already inside the shoe.
A better idea would be to regularly soak/clean your shoes in vinegar. That way, everything is washed out instead of added in.
It does not add germs to your shoes.
Wow, what can’t vinegar do? I had no idea it had so much good bacteria in it. Definitely gonna try it next time I have a cold.
I’m from the south. When I was a kid I heard tales that women used vinegar to make themselves tighter after child birth before having sex. Does anyone know if there is any real merit to that tale?
I use it when I steam vac my carpets… pour some white vinager in the last rinse water and give carpets the last go over …it will smell like the dickens but when it dries they will smell fresh and deoderized.I love washing my carpets just so I can do this :0)
My latest use for my favourite product was to remove burnt on chutney at the base of a stainles steel pot. After moving what I could of the burnt mess, I covered base of the pot with an inch of vinegar and left over night. Next morning it all lifted off without effort and one lovely shiny pot again.
GET RID OF FRUIT FLIES/GNATS ETC!!!
small bowl of apple cider vinegar

I guarantee you will start getting rid of those silly flies within 10 min!!!
In reply to Miles’ “whats the use for rubbery chicken bones”, they are used to build rubber chickens!
The use of Rubbery Chicken Bones is just for fun. You can take a wishbone and make it rubbery for a funny spin to breaking it at Thanksgiving.. it doesn’t bend.
We used to make them in school and make “knots” out of the bones, just to see how pliable they were after the calcium was broken down.
You can do the same with an UNCOOKED chicken egg, just DO NOT DROP IT!
http://chemistry.about.com/od/madscientistlab/a/rubberegg.htm
*CORRECTION*
I meant “it doesn’t break.” not “it doesn’t bend.”
Sorry.
I have been using it on my hair for months! I have long thick tangly hair and it works as well as conditioner but my hair is softer and shinier. It feels cleaner longer and there is no nasty build up! I have tried about half of these things and love them all! Also for those of you interested Baking Soda is almost as cool as viniger! The two combined really pack a punch!
I’ve had an deep ear infection for about three years now where its really itchy burning and scaley with discharge and NO medication or antibiotics have helped. It just kept coming back.I worked w/deaf and hard of hearing children and blame it on using plug headphones that somebody might have used before me…I don’t know… WELL.. after reading all your suggestions I said “what the heck” and have been deep cleaning my ears with Q-tips dipped in vinager everyday for about a month now and it’s GONE !!!! At first it burned because it was so raw..but it actually felt good after the intense itchy feeling I had ..WOW..who would have thought.
Then, went to visit mom and her dog had a red bald spot on his side that he kept scratching and told mom about the vinagre 3 days and it was gone !!!!
Now my kids make fun of me saying that they’re afraid to complain about anything because I’ll pop out the (now) huge jug of this magical elixer LOL!!!THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUGGESTIONS :0)
I have started using white vinegar in my shampoo. it has done wondeers with my receding hairline. My hairline was receding quite upwards, and now showing full head of hair, especially over a scar on my scalp.
It’s hard to believe that viniger would restore hair loss. I know viniger is awesome but this is the first time I heared some say that viniger restored there hair. Would love to have a little more information on this. What’s you approximate age? What type of hair loss did you have genetic? How much viniger did you put into the shampoo bottle. Did you wash you head twice a day? How long was it till you notice results? How long did it take for your hair restored completely?
Your response would be high appreciated. Thank you!!!!
Although you alluded to it (by way of Athlete’s Foot/Jock Itch), Vinegar works great for treating Ringworm on Cats, Dogs, etc. Cider Vinegar is very good but Distilled will work in a pinch.
Vinegar has the double benefit in that it not only works as well or better than prescribed ointments, the animal is less likely to eagerly lick it off during grooming because it’s tart, leaving it alone to work. The Vinegar evaporates on it’s own and doesn’t need to be washed off.
Applying it to your pet could take some doing depending on the personality of your pet and how severe the infection is. You can dab it on with a Q-tip, cotton ball or if need be: place it in a spray bottle, set to a narrow spray pattern, not quite full spray and not full stream. You want to make sure the vinegar reaches and saturates the affected skin but not further irritate the area or otherwise hurt the animal – Do Not spray around the animal’s eyes!
Our Cat had Ringworm and we applied the usual ointment. However, I noticed that he was looking kinda’ sick from it. Concerned it was probably making him ill, I saw a tip about the Vinegar. He resisted application but it worked extremely well. With the ointment, there was little difference over a couple days. With Vinegar, it was cleared up in as much time or less.
put a little Vinegar in the dogs drinking water will help get the fleas under control.
i tryed it it works.
Isn’t vinegar great? Thanks for listing all the wonderful uses for this cheap ad readily available solution.
I’ve always read that you should only use 1-2 tablespoons of ACV per 1 cup of water to clean/soften hair. On this site it says to use 8 tablespoons of ACV per 1 cup of water. Isn’t this too concentrated?
I love onions but hate the after taste AND what they do to my stomach. So today, I thought, “What could get rid of this horrible taste?” That’s right – I thought of something even more potent – vinegar! I swished my mouth out a few times with it, and then I drank a few table spoons. No more onion breath and no indigestion. Wala! Vinegar strikes again, working better than any anti-acid pill or liquid I have ever tried. Now you may eat your onions and enjoy your night afterward, too. lol
I swear by the fruit fly comment.. It gets rid of them very quickly.
i need to buy a bunch of vinegar.
This has to be one of my favorite posts! And on top of thats its also very useful topic for newbies. cheers a lot for the info!
Just want to add…if you use apple cider vinegar for body odor, spray armpit before shower and use Safeguard soap. It definitely kills the bacteria that causes odor. But this second part is a must! You must wash all your clothes in 1/2 cup of white vinegar to kill the lingering bacteria! If you do not, spraying the pits is a waste of time. I’ve been deodorant free for over 2 years now. Definately works!
Just wanted to share – 2 Tbsp or 2 tablets a day of pure ACV has really helped with my palpitations. I get PVCs/PACs – esp around my period. Taking ACV has made a significant difference. Of course, talk to your Doc about it…but I don’t see how it can hurt.
Problem: My 25 year old toilet takes 2 to 3 flushes for it to work right. Solved this problem by putting one gallon of White Vinegar into the toilet tank and two gallons of White Vinegar into the toilet seat. I did this around 7 p.m. I closed the door to the restroom (vinegar smell). I let it stand unused for 15 hours. Then in the morning around 10 A.M., I turned on the water to the toilet and I flushed it. I also brought in the outside water hose and ran water into the toilet seat (at full force) for about 5 minutes, to make sure that 25 year old hard water mineral deposits left my toilet, plumbing and my property. Now it flushes beautifully, like a brand new toilet. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS PLEASE READ ON! YOU MUST KNOW I did use the White Vinegar at full strength (no water in the tank or seat). BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THIS, FIRST PREPARE THE TOILET SEAT AND TANK for empting by Turning off the water to the toilet. Than flush the toilet. Now remove the toilet tank top lid. Now flush again and hold up the tank
Half distilled white vinegar (from grocery store) mixed with half water (and if desired a few drops of essential oils such as lavender) works great as a deodorant. This is not an antiperspirant, but I stopped antiperspirants ages ago because they shut down a normal bodily process; we do need to be able to sweat. My deodorant mixture works great and controls perspiration odors for a day. Beyond that, no, but I bathe and reapply deodorant daily so it works effectively for me. Mix up a bigger batch in a jar for refills and use a smaller pump spray for daily use. Vinegar smell evaporates in minutes; you do need to allow drying time since this is a watery deodorant. Cheap, effective, convenient, non-toxic.
Another miracle use for vinegar: curing hiccups! A tiny sip of full strenght vinegar will cure hiccups every time. I’ve been using this cure for 30+ years and it has never failed. It doesn’t seem to matter if it is ACV or white distilled.
Hello
Can you please advise me if I put white vinegar on my chihuahua female’s body that it could help with her itchy skin condition.
I was advised by a co-worker that her friend put white vinegar on her dogs body where the skin irritation is and it has cleared up and she doesn’t dilute it she puts it straight on and rubs it in.
Is is safe to put on my chihuahua girl she is 6 years old but her skin irritation is making her very restless especially at nights and I have had to bathe her 3 times maybe more in a week because she starts to smell and she has a longcoat which makes it more difficult.
Her skin condition started with fleas and now its prob some sort of parasite thats got into her skin she just itchess alot.
Yours sincerely
Tanya

Hey Tanya!
Yes, white vinegar does help with your chihuahua’s itchy skin condition!
Put ACV into a spray bottle, part the hair and spray on. Any skin eruption will dry up in 24 hours and will save you having to shave her. If the skin is already broken, dilute ACV with an equal amount of water and spray on.
Use a smaller bottle of white vinegar with a hole poked in the cap. Place it in the tank of your toilet. The bottle will displace water so your toilet uses less with each flush and the vinegar will come out slowly and help keep the toilet bowl clean between scrubbing. Nice post by the way. You’ve convinced me to try ingesting it.
Vinegar is also wonderful for stripping wallpaper. Dilute it with warm water and spray it on the paper after using a perforating tool. The vinegar dissolves the glue and the paper comes right off. It’s so much cheaper than the stuff they sell in the store and it actually works.
Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures
on this blog loading? I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.
Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Florida and vinegar is great for repelling bugs
would like any updates on uses for vinegar
Unpasteurized apple cider vinegar (ACV) with the mother (brown sediment) gets rid of tag moles and warts. Keep the mole wet with mole sized cotton soaked in ACV for 3-5 days and it will turn black and fall off. Water block type bandaids work best for keeping the the wet cotton against the mole.
If it burns too much take it off and give your skin a break and try again. If nothing changes in a few days, probably the wrong kind of mole for this to work.
Use white vinegar on a q-tip to remove corrosion on battery terminals. Careful not to let it leak into the cracks of whatever you are trying to fix.
Ladies if you use apple cider vinegar in your heels, boot, any leather shoe it will help your feet stay fresh and it kills germs.
If you wear nylons and or pantyhose it also aids in stopping runs. PN: if you husband, boy friend and or girl friend has a foot fetish They will praise you for using vinegar in more was then one… wink…
Does apple cider vinegar help dessolve gallstones. If so how much and often do you use it.
Stop gallstone pain by exercising, like going for a jog when it hits. When your body is in motion, the stone dislodges.
Also, 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day has been shown to cut the risk of developing gallstones by 40%. (However, I don’t recommend coffee).
Start taking care of your health Dick. Take the effort to eat clean and exercise everyday.
Many of these tips I did not know about vinegar but I am not surprised as it really is great for everything. I use apple cider vinegar after every carb meal I eat as it helps regulate blood sugar so you do not get a huge insulin spike. It also helps for weight loss too.
I have switched from chemical cleaners to vinegar diluted in water to clean my countertops as it is much more natural and then I do not have to inhale all of the chemicals.
OMG!!! Love this!! I’ve been using Apple Cider vinegar for years after I shampoo to remove excess product build up, oil & increase shine! Just mix w/ water to dilute & make sure to close your eyes then rinse with water and condition. Also, my skin is very oily & prone to acne so I dilute with water & use as a facial toner to balance our the ph in my skin. I drink it regularly to help with acid indigestion, fatigue, joint pain, cramps, etc. It has helped me lose 10 pounds & keep it off! And most recently, I rescued a dog which had terrible fleas so after the vet gave her the flea pill she suggested I spray get daily mixed w/ water in a spray bottle as a natural flea repellent!!! After researching flea collars, most are toxic to animals so this has been a life saver as my dog has no more fleas. Just be sure to spray dog daily bring careful not to get into their eyes. I’ve noticed her coat is shinier too! ????????????
I’m so much confused with White Vinegar and Apple Cider Vinegar .. its not specified, like in washing machine, Ear Infections, Acid Reflux, Athlete
Hey Evan.
For consumption and topical uses, organic apple cider vinegar is best, followed by non organic apple cider vinegar.
For use everything else, either white, non organic or organic apple cider vinegar will do.
Got the whole idea on vinegar – its good for all daily activities
What I do NOT like about these types of lists is that EACH numbered item should clearly specify what type of vinegar to use (white or apple cider).
Only some of them do.
Makes me think the list is a compilation from many sources and not one list created by a person who knows these uses from personal experience.
Hi Tina.
It doesn’t really matter. However, I’d recommend specifically organic apple cider for ingestion and topical uses while saving the cheap, distilled white for everything else.
Fantastic i didn’t vinegar can do all that wow!!
what is the meaning of sirka and cider vinegar and how to aaply this products
Sirka vinegar is made from sugarcane juice and apple cider is made from apple must. Sirka is used to preserve pickles and for flavoring curries while apple cider is suitable for ingesting and topical applications.
Hmm, Theres something about a vinegary vagina. Two words, Pickle-Perfect.
It seems weird why Vinegar is not classified feminine nor considered as a feminine product if it used in feminine cleansing. For example, dispute there are condoms made for women; condoms are predominantly considered a male product.
Go figure!
Not only was vinegar used for douching in ancient time but since then it has been used for countless of other things.
Given the characteristics and capabilities of vinegar, I can see how it can be used in a sensual way. For example mixing vinegar with sented oils like lavender and there you have a therapeutic vinaigrette for massaging. How ever if scented oil is not available, combining oil with other spices that can be found in the kitchen like cinnamon can be used in combination flowers. And there you have a homemade vinaigrette for massaging.
Given Vinegars characteristics and capabilties, I can also see how it is also used sexually. For example the smell of vinegar has a unique and pungent scent that for some find it arousing. It produces a stinging if you will, a pickling sensation that when applied to sertain parts of the body externally, gives an arousing sensation found to be erotic.
If this wasn’t strange enough, mayonnaise used in at home cosmetology or why in the hell would mayonnaise be mixed into cakes or other deserts rather than following the proper instructions accordingly for. Now THAT disgusting. But that’s my opinion.
Just Wow!!!!!!
If you’re responsible for laundering clothes for someone with an incontinence problem, adding vinegar to the wash removes urine odors. I add ca. 1 cup as the machine is filling. The least expensive white vinegar is fine. (If it’s in polyester or has set for a long time, it may take two washes.)
Very helpful, thank you so much
You’re welcome!
Excellent, I am one of those persons who use vinegar for everything. Thanks for sharing this
thanks for goods news about vinegar.
kindly i want to use it for the purpose of slimming/ weight loss.
What are you waiting for? =)
